Planet Router Setup

 

How to set up the Planet Router for Broadband ADSL with SAOL.com

 

  • Open Internet Explorer and type in the address bar 192.168.1.1 and press enter.

  • Enter the Username and Password in the login box.
  • Username : admin
  • Password : admin
  • This will bring you to the setup page, click on Wizard which will guide you through the steps to configure your router

  • VPI : 8
  • VCI : 35
  • Click next to go to the next step of the wizard

  • WAN Connection Type : PPP over Ethernet  (PPPoE)
  • Encapsulation Mode : LLC/SNAP
  • Click next to go to the next step of the wizard

  • Obtain IP address automatically must be selected
  • Enable NAPT must be ticked
  • Click next to go to the next step of the wizard

  • PPP Username : Enter username that was supplied by SAOL.Com
  • PPP Password : Enter password that was supplied by SAOL.Com
  • PPP Connection Type : Continuous
  • Click next to go to the next step of the wizard..

This page will help configure the LAN Interface Setup

  • Leave all settings as is on this page.
  • Click next to go to the next step of the wizard

This page will bring up the WAN Setup – Summary

    • Click Finish to save the settings.  The settings will be saved and the system will reboot.

     

     

    • If you have an All-in-1 account, your login is "Your Username@allin1.saol.com
    • If you have a bundle account (R138 special), your login is "Your Username@ipc.saol.com
    • If you have a Turbo account, your login is "Your Username@turbo.saol.com"
